A new world order is being established. It is clear that the major powers, especially Russia, China, and Turkey, are against the unipolar world order, dominated by the United States.
Today, Russia wants to restore the former USSR: to take the former union states under its influence. China also wishes to establish its hegemony in the East and has the potential for this. Currently, China is successfully expanding in various directions effectively, making even Russia a vassal. I think a sharp clash between Russia and China in the near future is inevitable because China has taken huge territories in the East of Russia with concessions and is carrying out long-term economic activities as if on its own territory, employing exclusively Chinese people, effectively pushing out the locals. The Chineseization of these territories is underway.
The next ambitious power is Turkey, which has renewed the idea of the Great Turan and is bringing in decisive ideological and strategic activities in this direction. Here, the interests of century-old “friends” and century-old “enemies” of Russia and Turkey collide, as we see today in Syria. Turkey says: “I can explode Russia from within at any time”.
Hence, acute conflicts are everywhere: Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and as some political scientists believe, the world is in the third world war, which I agree with. There are wars everywhere: crimes against humanity are being committed, millions of people are dying, large and small settlements are being destroyed, and almost all types of weapons are being used, except for nuclear weapons.
In short, the world is boiling. The Armenian people are facing danger in this terrifying chaos and turmoil, and it is essential to pursue a correct and flexible policy. What to do? Either go to the Russian Tsar and say,” Your Excellency, I come to become the second Belarus”. He will generously accept and, in case of necessity, he will sell us for a bigger or smaller price. Or go to the West, towards democracy and security, but not everything is so smooth here.
The question is: what to do? I think the only salvation is the US, which can influence everyone saving its strategic partner, a vivid example of which is Israel. In my opinion, the main task of our authorities today should not be to pursue a policy of sitting on two chairs, which can end up very badly, but to achieve cooperative affairs with the US at all costs.
